“Instantly obsolete” is not what I think of the individuals I’ve photographed over the years. It’s what a viewer thinks. It’s what you think. “Instantly obsolete” is what social media and what today’s technology has made of most photographers.
These pocket satellites we call “cell phones” now take portraits like Avedon, add definition in the dark like DeCarava.  The experience of a photograph has been reduced to bespoke masks of consumption, where individuals create brand awareness but lack actual human identity.
